In Through the Back Door by JD Payne

 Why North America?

When compared to the other continents of the world, North America boasts of a
very large evangelical population.  There is absolutely no doubt that the greatest need for
the gospel, new churches, and resources is found outside of North America.  However, in
the attempt to reach the majority world from solely outside of this continent, I believe the
North American Church may be overlooking some significantly strategic matters:

• About the number of UPGs in North America representing the majority world

• About the strategic significance of equipping and partnering with reached
majority world peoples to return to their UPGs living outside of North America

• About diminishing the significance of the role of the missionary and E-2 and E-3
forms of church planting in North America.

( Created by Dr. Ralph Winter.  E1 is church planting among people just like us.  E2 is done among those who are near cultural neighbors (culturally) and E3 is done among those who are culturally very different from those with the vision to do the church planting. )
